The sales department operates internationally in 78 countries in Europe and has a brand new headquarters in Eindhoven, Netherlands, and various distribution centers in the Helmond, Deurne, and Eindhoven areas.

As a Key Accountmanager in Finland , you will be responsible for various retail chains in Finland, ranging from DIY, Garden Retail, Food Retail and Independent stores. EDCO is growing quit fast and our strategy is to attract local expertise. From our 18.000m2 brand new showroom and headquarters in Eindhoven, you will serve the different customers and prospects from your channel. In addition, you will constantly search for new opportunities in the market and regularly visit your customers in this role. The balance between current accountmanagement and new business is around 50/50%. You will work in a team of 4 colleagues locally in the Scandinavian region. In this role, you report to the Sales Team Lead Scandinavia.

In addition to selling promotional IN/OUT products, you will also work on projects with customers to sell displays, planograms, and other retail concepts. Fortunately, you have various renowned A-brands like Grundig, Dunlop, Umbro and Alpina and private labels at your disposal to serve your customers!

Travelling:

In this role, you will travel approximately 30% international (tradeshows, Headquarters in Eindhoven, fairs), 30% in Finland to current or potential new customers and 40% working from home.

Your specific tasks include:

  • Expanding the business with retailers in Finland;
  • Setting up customer-specific promotions in the broadest sense of the word;
  • Working on projects with customers in collaboration with the marketing department to promote displays, planograms, and other retail concepts;
  • Ensuring portfolio expansion by engaging in New Business in collaboration with the New Business Developer;
  • Creating quotes and proper follow-up, including coordination with internal colleagues;
  • Actively processing international tender requests that require a project-based approach;
  • Visiting and participating in international trade shows;
  • Actively analyzing market developments and identifying important trends;
  • Personalizing and optimizing the offer towards customers based on historical sales data.

Commercial, driven, quick, and energetic. These are the characteristics of the new colleague we are looking for! The FMCG trade in which EDCO operates is a fast and dynamic market in which we are looking for colleagues who can proactively push the trade on the one hand, and on the other hand, can maintain and expand long-term customer relationships. In this role, quick wins alternate with long-term projects.

You also have:

  • At least a couple of years experience in a sales or purchasing-related role at a retailer or international wholesaler (preferably Non-food Retail);
  • Bachelor’s degree in preferably Business education;
  • You are analytically strong and can deal with data management systems such as PowerBi;
  • Experience working with CRM and ERP systems, and of course, you have sufficient Microsoft Office knowledge;
  • You speak fluent English and Finnish;
  • You preferably live in the Helsinki region of Finland.
